I had no problems installing this, just plug it in and Windows XP recognizes it. However, i’ve tried using this with 3 different emulators and i’m experiencing some difficulties. It may be my inexperience with the emulators, but so far i’ve tried several plugins for each of the emulators and none of them accept programming from this device. I’m using an original N64 controller too, not an after market knock off. I’m going to keep trying to get it to work, or keep looking for more plugins to try, but so far i’m not impressed or happy with this product.

UPDATE. It works now. It’s good choice. I can use it with my other controller adapter at the same time. It works real well with one of them, the other, well… not so much. I guess I have to calabrate it some more all though it’s a good thing. wondering if it works on the wii.

I was a little skeptical at first about how well this would work, but the other high reviews really clued me in that it would probably work well; they were absolutely correct because this item works flawlessly with any Windows based computer which can configure the controller. I can’t say how it would function for a Macintosh or Linux machine, but it definitely is worth the small price for Windows play; I can finally play all my favorite games with my favorite controller!

I received this product a couple of weeks ago, and so far it has worked excellently. Both N64 ports work well after calibrating the controllers (in Windows’ Control Panel), and when playing games using the controllers, the analog sticks respond as if I am playing on the N64 console – which is good.
Many people will probably be purchasing this product for use with Project64 or something similar; I can confirm that it works with N-Rage’s DirectInput 8 V2 plugin, although I could not get it to work with Jabo’s DirectInput (the default plugin for Project64) for some reason. That said, N-Rage’s plugin is easy to find.
I’d definitely recommend this product to anyone who enjoys using the N64 controller. It’s a lot of fun to be able to use these controllers on your computer, and it’s relatively easy to configure.

I got this for my husband for Christmas. He and I have have a blast playing the old names (we play Super Nintendo and N64 on it) and it has worked wonderfully. He had to spend some time calibrating the remotes but it only took a little bit of time and they have worked great ever since. This is so much fun and we recommend this to anyone!
